To dance the dance and become the dance, to sing the song and become the song, to know the knower and know That in everyday life.....this is the Royal Path of Yoga. If you have reached the stage where that is important to you, where that goal is a priority, perhaps even the priority then the Royal Path is beckoning you.Yoga is described by Patanjali, an ancient sage or seer as "the cessation of the fluctuations of the mind" where the busy mind moves into its own source, a state of pure consciousness or inner wakefulness . Transcending or "going beyond thought" is not only the goal but also the path of yoga.
The Vedas: ancient wisdom
In his Yoga sutras commentary, Patanjali outlines 8 limbs or branches of yoga. Each limb can bring a person to the inner reservoir of silent Being--- the unified field of consciousness or Pure Self. Should a person practice any one or more of these branches on a daily basis , they can quickly realise the goal of inner wakefulness and indeed cultivate it as an ongoing reality in daily life. In the pages of this website we will explore different branches such as meditation, ayurveda, diet, emotional clearing, purification, herbs and minerals, chanting, yoga, breathing techniques, vedic astrology and gem therapy. Originally derived from the ancient vedas, more than 10,000 years old, these practical technologies were all designed to cultivate pure awareness and bliss(ananda) effortlessly and swiftly in a persons life.
